Purpose:
To light the
Beltaine Fire with the sacred nine woods with an incantation
placed in the center of the Pentagram of Fire. Once the Bell Fire
is lit – the appointed Druids will then lit the tiki torches.
P&P will tell the story of Beltaine, and when ready
participants will then jump the Bell fire. When all have
completed this task, other may at that time do a dump, i.e.
personal, ridding yourself of old things to make way for the
newness of the season. The P&P will then choose by lot the
May King and May Queen. They will be crowned and will be given a
basket of fruits, veggies, flowers and will bless the people with
their bounty. At that point the May King and Queen will lead the
participants into the May Pole Dance.
